Winnings Essay’s

“What is An American?”

An American is someone who is worthy for there country. They help when needed. They care when needed. A real American stands up, and sticks up for themselves, then goes to war to fight for freedom. American means to be trusted by everyone.

Someone who’s an American knows what the right thing to do is. A true person will know when people need them the most. To help people is a great thing. You know what to do and when to do it. You even know how to do it and why to do it, and why you should help. When an American does something they’re loyal. They are always loyal to people the love, and people they are just meeting. Most Americans are loveable.

Being careful, gentle, truthful, trustful, honest, and more, are ways we Americans show our pride. We have justice, and we are willing to take risks at any time, any day. We are brave enough to go to war to fight for our right too! When people are in danger, we step up to the plate and help them. Yet that’s one way of being kind and respectful. All Americans should be respectful, responsible, a problem solver, and safe.

An American has independence to own their right and freedom, to have hope and faith in everyone. We stand in front of the flag, to honor who stood up, and took a chance and a risk to those in war. Most of all, we should never give up!

“What is An American?”

An American is someone very special. Americans are grateful of their soldiers. Americans never forget about the soldiers who fought in the war, defending out country. Americans are proud, and grateful of the soldiers’ everyday, hoping they’ll come back.

Americans respect the American flag, and its fifty stars, and thirteen stripes. They respect the flag by taking off their hat, and placing it near their left shoulder, and by placing their right hand on their heart while the flag passes by. When Americans salute the flag, they are saluting the soldiers in the war and those who died while serving in the war, trying to fight for our country.

Americans respect the United States of America by using national symbols, by putting up flags, having national symbols like bald eagles and American Flags, on things like towels, and mugs. Americans enjoy freedom, knowing that soldiers fought for them to be able to have it. Americans are patriotic, by tying yellow ribbons around mailboxes and poles to support the soldiers. The ribbons will stay tied until the soldiers come back.

Americans are patriotic! Americans are proud! Americans are free!

“What is An American?”

Free and independent. As American citizens, we have many rights that surrounding countries do not. As Americans, we are responsible for keeping our freedom by fighting for what we believe in.

For hundred of years Americans have lived upon the promises of our founding fathers: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In America, we have the Freedom of Speech, and Freedom of the Press. Freedom of Speech is the concept of being able to speak freely without censorship. Freedom of the Press is the guarantee by the government of free public press for its citizens and their associations.

Being an American, we have diversity. Diversity means to be different or unlike everything else. In America there are many examples of diversity such as our religion and heritage. Diversity lets Americans express their individuality. It gives them a chance to prove that they are different from every one else. As an American, I’m grateful for diversity, for without diversity I wouldn’t be able to physically express myself.

For many years Americans fought for the right of freedom. Without the freedom we have today, we would not be able to make some of the choices that we have or live the way that we live currently do.

There are many qualities of an American citizen. American citizens have many rights that some other countries don’t have like freedom and independence. I’m proud to say that I’m am American citizen.
